In our Student of the Month series, we’re spotlighting a standout student each week from one of our four school buildings, and this week we're heading back over to Hemlock Middle School.
This week’s rockstar is Emma Zimmerman, a 7th grader who shines in and out of the classroom. She consistently delivers top-notch work, stays on task, and is always ready to lend a hand. Emma is an active participant in class discussions and a proud member of our National Junior Honor Society, where she sets an outstanding example as a mentor and role model for her peers.
Her teachers have shared high praise, saying, “I love having her in class!” and “Emma is the epitome of a Huskie.” Mr. Chase, Principal of Hemlock Middle School, added, “Her future is very bright!”

We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers following yesterday’s incident at the construction site of our new high school gymnasium. Through what some might call a series of fortunate events or even miracles, things appear to be turning out much more positively than they could have. While it’s not our place to share personal medical details, we can confirm that the individual is recovering in the hospital.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the quick-thinking coworkers on-site, our construction management team, Police Chief Jack Doyle, Officer Randy, the Richland Township Fire Department, and the entire team of first responders, including the Medivac crew and hospital staff, for their rapid and effective response.

This morning, there was an accident involving a member of our construction crew that required immediate medical attention. Emergency services responded quickly, and the individual was transported via helicopter to the hospital for further care.
We want to ensure you know that no students were involved, and school operations were not impacted. The safety of our students, staff, and everyone on campus remains our top priority, and we share that commitment with our construction partners. The injured worker is in our constant thoughts and prayers.
