Hemlock Public School District is pleased to announce several key staff appointments aimed at enhancing student services across our schools. The addition of Dean/Director Pohl to our team will enable us to provide increased support and resources to our students, ensuring a more focused and effective educational experience.
Dean Boros will continue to serve at the high school, where he will be responsible for college and career advising and oversee the Early Middle College and Hemlock Virtual. His office is located within the Commons, at the heart of the school. This strategic move allows us to better support our students' college and career readiness while enhancing our educational offerings.
In addition, Dean Zastrow will transition to KC Ling Elementary, where she will concentrate on student interventions and behavioral modification programs. This shift allows our school social worker, Bekah Harris to dedicate more time and resources to Hemlock Elementary, offering increased support to our youngest learners and ensuring they receive the foundational care and attention they need.
We have posted a position for Dean of Students at Hemlock Middle School. Principal Chase will be working diligently to identify and vet the best possible candidate to support our middle school students and staff. This strategic move aims to enhance student support and foster a positive school environment.
These staffing changes reflect our ongoing commitment to refining and updating our practices daily, with a steadfast focus on supporting our students and staff. By strategically aligning our personnel, we aim to create an environment where every student can thrive and succeed. This places a counselor at the high school, middle school, and K.C. Ling, and a social worker at Hemlock Elementary.
"We are excited about the positive impact these changes will have on our schools," said Don Killingbeck, Superintendent. "By leveraging the strengths of our dedicated staff, we can provide more targeted support and resources to our students, helping them achieve their full potential."
